The Start to Something Creative
It all commenced with a spark of creativity when the founders, Pooja and I, returned home after bidding farewell to our 8-to-8 research job in a financial startup back in 2016. Venturing into redesigning our old shoes and experimenting with various types of footwear, the turning point arrived when we decided to metamorphose mundane sole and strap flip-flops into something extraordinary—comfy, quirky, and undeniably fashionable especially for women that could be a go to partner for them when it comes to daily wear.
As we seized each day, destiny, with its unique script, I became the sole owner and designer of the venture. Engaging in exhibitions, creating content on social media, I managed to connect with numerous women across various parts of India, particularly in Agra, Delhi, Gurgaon, and other cities in North India.
The Much Awaited Comeback
Life's twists, marked by challenges such as the global pandemic and the joys of motherhood, momentarily paused my journey. Yet, in March 2023, with my adorable 1.5-year-old daughter by my side, I rekindled the dream, with each step echoing a commitment to a vision seven years in the making.
Crafting Comfort, Redefining Style :
Our journey isn’t just about making flip-flops; it’s about redefining them. From Crafted Flip-flops to our new Switchika Sandals—featuring innovative, interchangeable straps for every occasion—we offer more than footwear. We deliver versatile, stylish companions that seamlessly transition from home to outdoors, combining everyday comfort with fashion-forward designs.
Our workshop in Agra, led by a 21-year-old artisan overseeing production and dispatches, is the heartbeat of Soul Dhaga. She meticulously crafts each flip-flop with love, creating what we proudly call Crafted Flip-flops. A fusion of rubber foam and overlay materials sourced from the nation’s capital, these handmade treasures are a testament to our dedication to combining art with comfort. In essence, Soul Dhaga delivers quirky, comfy and fashionable sandals and flip-flops to the lovely women out there.

Formerly known as Desig-N-ation, we embraced the name SOUL DHAGA in January 2024. It symbolizes a profound soul connection with our handmade flip-flops and sandals, marking a new chapter in our journey to deliver 'Creative Comfort'—where elegance meets ease.
